(Premier) Lindy Annis, dramatist and one of Antonia Baehr’s travel companions, has been working since 2002 on The Body Archive, a study of the history of body gestures and cultural memory. In POSE, Annis looks at gender and the iconography of body gestures. Beginning with the ancient greeks and romans, she studies figures of art through the ages to decipher the language of our contemporary bodies and the poses we assume (or assume us).
