Lindy Annis

Lindy Annis studied acting, dance and voice in New York, earning a degree from N.Y.U.'s Experimental Theater Wing. She produces performance and theater works, acts as Dramaturge and curator, as well as writing texts for the stage. Her current long-term series, The Body Archive, is a collection of performance, gallery and stage compositions focusing on emotional body gestures - their iconography, their evolution through time and their role in contemporary western society.  

 

Lindy Annis has worked with such artist and groups as Tim Miller, The Wooster Group, Xavier Le Roy and Eszther Solomon as well as collaborating with the composers Frieder Butzmann, Sven Ake Johhanson, Hans Peter Kuhn and Nicholas Bussmann, among others.

She is engaged in an extended artistic cooperation with the artist Antonia Baehr in the form of a recurring dramaturgical exchange.
